Shivat Zion Year-End Journey to Tel Shiloh

*Shivat Zion Year-End Journey to Tel Shiloh*
During the month of Tammuz, approximately 800 students and teachers from the Shivat Zion movement set out on a meaningful journey to Tel Shiloh—a day of learning, adventure, and connection to our nation’s heritage.

In preparation for the trip, the students learned about Elkanah, whose efforts encouraged the Jewish people to renew their pilgrimage to Shiloh, and memorized verses from Hannah’s prayer, deepening their connection to the events that took place there.

Our journey began in Eli, where a unique live performance brought the biblical period to life and introduced the story of Shiloh and the Mishkan. From there, we continued to Einot Ra’i and Ma’ayan HaGevurah, enjoying the refreshing springs, the beautiful landscape, and an engaging educational treasure hunt along the route.

The day concluded at Tel Shiloh with a dynamic team-building activity that combined educational, social, and physical challenges. After a festive dinner, Rabbi Eitan Zucker shared words of inspiration, and together we reviewed the verses of Hannah’s prayer, bringing the day’s learning full circle.

*Our sincere thanks to the Shivat Zion Chesed Fund, whose generous support made this meaningful journey possible.*
Eyal Shvalb, Program Director.
