Comunity building in Machaneh (Camp) Gadi
The Town of Gedi, established in 2018 in Nahal Tirza, Jordan Valley, holds historical significance as the gateway for our ancestors’ entry into the Land of Israel. Originally an abandoned military camp utilized by both the Jordanian army and later the IDF, it now thrives as a vibrant community.
Building upon this historic foundation, the Town of Gedi has blossomed into a strong and flourishing town, reclaiming and cultivating the land. In 2023, the community proudly inaugurated a permanent synagogue, a testament to their unity and dedication.
With two kindergartens and four nurseries catering to over 100 children, the Town of Gedi invests in nurturing the future generation. As of early 2024, 37 families call the town home, with plans underway to welcome more families in the coming summer.
Looking ahead, the Town of Gedi aspires to become a prominent town in the Jordan Valley, contributing to the region’s growth and significance. With unwavering determination, we march forward, guided by our faith and commitment to success.
