Mikvah for men – Maskiyot

Maskiyot is a religious community located in the north of the Jordan Valley. it is incorporated as an agricultural cooperative and belongs to the Jordan Valley Regional Council.

It was established in 1982 as a Nahal Brigade settlement which later was abandoned, after which in 2002, a Mechinah training school was established there as an educational home for about 60 students.

In 2006, Gush Katif settlers joined the town. Community life in Maskiyot is inclusive A variety of social activities, Rosh Chodesh parties, Torah lessons, women’s study, joint Shabbat meals and more. About 45 families live in the settlement.

In many communities, the construction of mikvaot (ritual baths) has been halted due to budgetary constraints. The Shivat Zion Israeli Charity Trust has undertaken to complete these projects by mobilizing additional funding sources. The completion of construction has enhanced the well-being of the residents of these communities, enabling them to go to the Mikva locally.
