The “Daily Talmud Study” initiative promotes and integrates the study of Talmud for its own sake in approximately 70 religious high schools across Israel, engaging thousands of students. Shivat Zion Trust had the privilege of supporting the “Lech K’nos” event – the completion of Tractate Megillah – following an intensive learning marathon held in 40 high schools throughout the country, from the north and south to central Israel and Jerusalem.

This initiative is dedicated to the memory of Israel’s fallen heroes in the Iron Swords War, with special tribute to Israel Amichai Witzen z”l, who was killed in battle near Kerem Shalom. He was a passionate advocate for Talmud study and encouraged his students to learn Tractate Megillah in preparation for the Purim holiday. May his memory, and the memory of all the fallen, be blessed.
