Founded in 2001 from the personal experience of its chairman, a parent of a child with Down syndrome, the “Yad al Halev” association now supports around 1,850 families, with approximately 120 new families joining each year. The association’s mission is to provide guidance, professional counseling, and support to parents and families of children with Down syndrome, promoting their independence and integration into the community.

Shivat Zion Israeli Charity Trust assists these families by offering financial grants to cover medical expenses and other services that enhance the well-being of the special child and their family members.
