Inauguration of “Ohel Rivkah” Synagogue in Rotem

On March 2023, we had the privilege of celebrating the Inauguration of the “Ohel Rivkah” synagogue named after the late Rivka (Riki) Ogul, who was one of the founders of “Rotem Yachad” – a religious and secular ecological town.

We were delighted to have the attendance of distinguished guests, including Mr. David Lahayani, head of the Jordan Valley Council, Mr. Yisrael Gantz, head of the Benjamin Council and Mr. Yishai Merling, Head of Rural Growth and Development at the World Zionist Organization.

Rabbis, friends, partners, and of course, the beloved residents of Rotem were also in attendance.

The establishment of the “Ohel Rivka” synagogue, with the kind assistance of the “Shivat Zion” fund, realizes in practice the unity of the Jewish people in a community where they live side by side, religious and secular, people of action and people of spirit who have come together to establish a common ground and serve as an example of a thriving communal life while finding the golden path through understanding the challenges faced by the community.”
