On May 1, 2024, alongside the distribution of the reservists’ grant, the Shivat Zion Israeli Charity Trust launched a matching campaign in which each participating battalion contributed to its own fund. The trust matched the soldiers’ donations up to 30,000 NIS per battalion, based on the funds raised by the Battalion. The funds were distributed to battalion soldiers in need of additional assistance due to the emergency situation, as recommended by the battalion’s command team. Battalions that utilized the full amount of the donation and matching funds received additional perks funded by the trust. Shahar Sharabi, the adjutant of Battalion 8130, thanks the Shivat Zion Israeli Charity Trust for their generous donation.
