Chavat Gilad was established by the Zer family together with a few other single guys in 2002, a year after the murder of Gilad Zer הי”ד at the Git junction. The town has expanded to about 70 families and it became an official town after the murder of Rabbi Raziel Shevach הי”ד.
The members of the Shivat Zion Network enjoy studying in groups, experiential activities and trips that are organized after constant studying.
