Supporting IDF Commanders’ Wives – Respite & Processing Days

Since October 7, 2023, the commanders of the Harel (10) and Jerusalem (16) Brigades of Division 252 have been leading their troops with dedication and bravery in the battles of northern Gaza. However, alongside the soldiers, there are those who bear an equally heavy burden – their wives. These women face the prolonged absence of their spouses, the emotional toll of ongoing war, the increased responsibilities at home, and the grief of losing comrades.

Shivat Zion Israeli Charity Trust is proud to support these strong women by providing a framework of emotional and mental reinforcement. As part of this effort, Shivat Zion helped fund two unique processing and respite events designed to offer these women a much-needed space for relaxation, sharing, and personal growth.

🔹 January 31, 2025 – Processing and Respite Day for the Wives of the Jerusalem Brigade (16th Brigade)
50 women participated in a special retreat at Netofa Winery, which included a rich buffet, an inspiring lecture, a challah-baking workshop, a painting session, and a personal gift for each participant.

🔹 February 17, 2025 – Respite Day for the Wives of the Harel Brigade (10th Brigade)
70 women enjoyed a rejuvenating day at Dream Island Spa, where they received spa treatments, a gourmet meal, lifestyle and makeup workshops, wine tastings, and a gift for each participant.

These events were not just moments of relaxation, but essential components of the emotional and social resilience that sustain our soldiers and their families. Shivat Zion Foundation remains committed to supporting those on the home front, who carry the weight of this war in their hearts and daily lives.

💙 Together, we strengthen the families – together, we strengthen the home front. 💙
